I know this woman who on the outside appears to be fit, she exudes her feminine essence, her constitution is strong but inside she is suffering from chronic pain…Pain that manifested after Hurricane Sandy. Normally she would heal herself but this pain was so intense she sought the help of an acupuncturist, physical therapist and traditional Drs., but none of these therapies helped ease her pain.

Her intuition knew exactly where the pain manifested. It was her first chakra as a result from trauma and blocked energy in the pelvis. It was the disconnection of not feeling grounded, her ability of not feeling safe. So it was time to redefine her healing journey and be vulnerable to seek a healer.

Why am I sharing this story?

Why am I sharing this story, because the “SHE” is “ME”. And sometimes we become disconnected. I knew my foundation (the pelvis) manifested low energy and impacted my expression and loss of trust and it disconnected my heart.

Every once and a while the heart center will become out-of-balance or dull due to emotional or energetic “trauma.” So it is important to keep the heart center in balance and open it back up to its vibration through breath.

Although I know how to breath through this process where the heart, belly and pelvis connect but it was time for me to allow the guidance of a healer. Having worked through my past trauma, I realize sometimes trauma has its purpose. YOU too can let go of trauma, pain and shame when you reconnect your heart and feminine center.

The Lesson I Learned

This time the lesson I learned was a gift of freedom. And you too can experience this only when you decide to let go of pain and begin unveiling emotion through movement and breath.

Sit in a comfortable cross legged position.
Place one hand on your heart
Place one hand on your belly below the navel
Inhale through your nose
Exhale through your mouth
Practice 3x’s

Keeping your hand on your heart
Place the other hand below your ribcage
Inhale through your nose
Exhale through your mouth
Practice 3 x’s

Place both hands on your heart
Inhale through your nose
Exhale through your mouth
Practice 3x’s

After practicing several rounds of this WAVE OF BREATH begin to undulate your spine from the sacrum up to your cervical spine. Sense this undulation like a wave as you consciously breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
